Digital Twins are now considered as modern and innovative tools designed to optimize port operations through the continuous collection and real-time analysis of data. This process is facilitated by sensors, the Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned vehicles, and the advanced capabilities of artificial intelligence. These technologies enhance infrastructure management, reduce costs, prevent malfunctions, improve security and promote sustainability. Additionally, integrating such state-of-the-art equipment in a university laboratory can significantly contribute to research, development and the training of research personnel in advanced port management technologies.
