Acronym: PreMETS
Duration: July 2023 – June 2026
Project Partners: The PreMETS consortium consists of a diverse group of partners including technology and engineering SMEs such as Acceligence, Atlantis Engineering, INTELIFORM, YET, LIPH, and HelixConnect Europe; research and academic institutions including the Hellenic Institute of Transport (CERTH), ISIM, and the University of Piraeus Research Center; specialized innovation, safety, and training organizations such as Deep Blue and WEGEMT; and the education-industry interface body EIT Manufacturing East, collectively forming a strong network that integrates industrial expertise, research excellence, and advanced training capabilities.
Project Overview:
A European partnership for boosting innovation in predictive maintenance across industries through entrepreneurial cooperation, education, and training, funded under the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-PIALL- INNO program. PreMETS addresses the growing need for innovative, accessible and cross disciplina education in Predictive Maintenance (PM). Recognizing PM’s vital role in improving infrastructure resilience, minimizing costly downtimes, and enhancing safety across sectors like manufacturing, aerospace, shipping, and wind energy, PreMETS delivers a comprehensive training ecosystem that bridges gaps in higher education, vocational training, and indust practice.
The project focuses on the development of a digital education platform, enriched with specialized toolkits, personalized learning pathways, and a micro-credential certification system to validate PM skills across three target groups: academic, vocational, and corporate learners. Through collaborative engagement between academia, industry, and policymakers, PreMETS enhances knowledge sharing, promotes inclusivity, and prepares a skilled workforce capable of applying PM in real-world conditions.
Key outputs:
- Integrated predictive maintenance training toolkit, custom-developed for higher education, vocational training, and indust-level learners and instructors
- Trainer toolkit for multiple levels
- Learner analytics and personalized profiles
- Micro-credential certification framework
- Skill forecasting and policy support tool
- Applied learning environment (teaching facto)
- Cross-disciplina digital platform
Key outputs:
