QuALS’ Deputy Director Professor Alexander Artikis together with Professor Elias Alevizos and Dr. Georgios Paliouras, has been awarded a European patent by the European Patent Office for their invention titled “System and method for forecasting complex events”. The foundational concepts of this system were first introduced in their publication, Complex Event Forecasting with Prediction Suffix Trees.
